The Merchant Shipping (Specific Stability Requirements for Ro-Ro Passenger Ships) Law of 2005 (Law 48(I)/2005) / Directive 2003/25/EC on specific stability requirements for ro-ro passenger ships.

List of Sea Areas
The list of sea areas for the scope of section 6 of Law 48(I)/2005 as amended (article 5.3 of Directive 2003/25/EC as amended) are published in DMS Circular No. 39/2005 and visualised on this chart.

Furthermore, for the route between the ports of Limassol or Larnaca and Piraeus, where the ship's route crosses more than one sea area, the Shipping Deputy Ministry (Cyprus) and Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy (Greece) have agreed that the ship shall satisfy the specific stability requirements for the highest value of significant wave height identified for these areas which is 2,5 metres.
