Cyprus Maritime Award 2019

The Shipping Deputy Minister to the President hereby announces that the “Cyprus Maritime Award” will be bestowed on Sunday 6th October 2019 during the opening ceremony of the “Maritime Cyprus 2019” Conference.

The Cyprus Maritime Award will be one of the following:
a) The Cyprus Maritime Personality Award
or
b) The Cyprus Shipping Industry Award.

The Cyprus Maritime Personality Award is given to natural persons and the Cyprus Shipping Industry Award is given to legal persons every two years during the “Maritime Cyprus” Conference by the President of the Republic, or the Shipping Deputy Minister to the President, on behalf of the President.

The Shipping Deputy Minister to the President has set up a Selection Committee for the Cyprus Maritime Award 2019 composing of representatives of the Shipping Deputy Ministry to the President, the Cyprus Shipping Chamber and the Cyprus Union of Shipowners.

Mr. Nicos Nicolaides, ex Minister of Communications and Works and present Mayor of Limassol, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Selection Committee.

Nominations for the 2019 Award must be submitted to the Selection Committee, through the Permanent Secretary of the Shipping Deputy Ministry to the President, on the prescribed forms, by the 16th of August 2019, the latest.
