Health and safety obligations in various types of activities, including risk prevention, information and training- Health and safety obligations for Seafarers

1. Overview
The owner of a ship that flies the Cyprus flag is responsible for taking appropriate measures to avoid accidents and occupational diseases.

2. Prerequisites
It is necessary to assess the risks seafarers are exposed as part of the plan and the management system for the protection of the health, safety and prevention of occupational diseases and accidents of seafarers.

3.Certificates (If not done electronically)
A certificate of Maritime Labour shall be issued to the ship complying with the provisions of Law 6(III)/2012.
