Recognition of qualifications for work in another Member State- Recognition of qualifications for Seafarers

1. Overview
The qualifications of seafarers working on ships flying Cyprus flag shall be demonstrated by certificates of competence, certificates of proficiency or documentary evidence, depending on the type of the ship and the position and duties on board.

2. Prerequisites
The certificates and documentary evidence referred to in 1. above must be issued by a State that is Party to the STCW International Convention.
