Marina Hadjimanolis was born in Famagusta in 1973. After the Turkish invasion of 1974 at the age of one, she settled in Limassol with her family. She is the mother of three children, Haris, Melani and Christina.
She is a graduate of Laniteio Lyceum B, Limassol. She studied Law at the University of Leicester, UK, where she obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB Hons).
She then obtained the title of Barrister at Law from the Inns of Court School of Law, London, as a member of Lincolns Inn in England.
She is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association and the Limassol Bar Association. She practiced the legal profession for many years, in a law office and as an inhouse legal advisor.
From 2016 until 1/3/2023 when she was appointed Shipping Deputy Minister, she was an elected Municipal Councilor in the Municipality of Limassol. She actively participated in various committees of the Municipality and was a member of the Board of Directors of Sewerage Board of Limassol.
She was a founding member of the Limassol Youth Chamber of Commerce, President of the Association of Parents in Primary Education, Member of the Federation of Associations of Parents & Guardians of Primary Schools of Limassol City and District and is an active member in public and private charitable organizations of the city. She has been honoured for her social and philanthropic work.
She initiated the implementation of a blockchain application in the Municipality of Limassol. The application electronically issues and verifies the authenticity of official documents, allowing the residents of Limassol to receive quality service in a digital environment.
As of 2021, she is the first female honorary member of Europa Uomo Cyprus, where she led the campaign for prostate cancer awareness and prevention.
Her political activity started in her highschool years as an active member of the Student Movement (MAKI) of NEDISY Limassol, then in DISY Student Party Movement Protoporia of England, later in NEDISY and at the Democratic Rally.
During the pre-election campaign for the 2023 Presidential Elections, she held the position of Director of the Political Office of the President-Elect of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis.
