The Shipping Deputy Minister to the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Ms. Marina Hadjimanolis, is carrying an official visit to London to participate in the events and actions of the International Maritime Organisation to celebrate the International Day for Women in Maritime.The International Maritime Organisation will present the IMO Gender Equality Award for the first time this year at its session on 17/05/2024.The award will be presented to the Cypriot candidate, Ms. Despina Theodosiou.
During her visit, the Shipping Deputy Minister will address the "Cyprus Forum. London" conference, which is organised for the first time, with the aim of promoting Cyprus in the United Kingdom, as an important maritime centre and the Cyprus flag as a flag of quality and credibility.
The Shipping Deputy Minister will also visit companies based in London as part of the continuous efforts to promote shipping in Cyprus, with the aim of attracting new shipping companies to Cyprus and the registration of ships in the Register of Cyprus Ships.
